Discovered in the early 20th century, PY3 is one of the most commonly found pigments in Lemon Yellow artist paints. It is semi-transparent with relatively high tinting strength, which means that it creates very clean, vibrant results in colour mixing without being overpowering. When mixed with black, it makes some bright, zesty greens.
