Cadmium pigments were first created in 1817, but didn’t gain popularity until the early 20th century. These brilliant pigments are loved for their strength, purity and lightfast properties. Cadmium Yellow Deep leans more towards orange than standard Cadmium Yellow because it contains a larger proportion of Cadmium Selinide, but shares its density, opacity, and excellent lightfastness.
