Description from the manufacturer
Brown earth pigments like this have been used since prehistory. The exact composition of naturally occurring minerals determine the shade and handling properities of the pigment. While Umber pigments are traditionally from the Italian region of Umbria, this one is sourced from Cyprus. As its name suggest it is doesn’t have the depth of other shades of Umber, but this characteristic can be useful for certain colour palettes that require a lighter earth-brown.
