Cadmium pigments were first created in 1817, but didn’t gain popularity until the early 20th century. Today they are loved for their strength, purity and lightfast properties. Cadmium Yellow Pale is a sunny, mid-yellow and, like all Cadmium pigments, it is very dense with a high tinting strength, good coverage, and excellent lightfastness and permanence.
